I found a nice long list of signs that indicate that you've encountered a ghost. The list was compiled by the "internationally known clairvoyant advisor" Melissa Alvarez who, among other things, is also a "Paranormal Examiner".

Just recently, when pressed as to why a loving god would allow terrible things to happen to innocent people, I heard someone say that since "all have sinned and come short of the glory of god" and "there is no one that has the right to freedom from god's wrath on the basis of innocence since no one is truly innocent".
